Kate Peck, LMT

Kate Peck, LMT, is a board certified massage therapist and founder of Journey to Health, with 27 years in private practice specializing in craniosacral therapy, myofascial release, burn scar therapy, and therapeutic massage. Since 2000, Kate has treated brain and spinal cord injured patients with craniosacral therapy at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston, and in 2015 she began working with burn patients there as well. A former faculty member of the Muscular Therapy Institute and Cortiva Institute from 1999 to 2009, she has taught continuing education courses in craniosacral therapy, myofascial release, and burn scar therapy for The Bodywork Education Project since 2009.

Kate’s goal is to access the body’s wisdom, addressing the root of a problem while treating its symptoms. To do this she combines craniosacral therapy, myofascial release, muscular therapy, and lymphatic drainage, listening to and following the cues the body offers rather than working against them, since chronic pain so often takes hold when those cues go unheard. Her burn scar work blends myofascial scar release, manual lymph drainage, craniosacral therapy, and therapeutic massage to support both the physical and emotional healing of burn scars. Kate also founded the Massage and Burn Scar Therapy Foundation so this care can reach all burn survivors regardless of their ability to pay.
